Highlights of 2014 :

1. Annual General Meeting
The first AGM was held in January to elect the new board of committee members for the term 2014. The committee is
comprises of 11members from the main stream and 3 members from the Upper Six.


2. 23rd National Lasallian Leaders’ Convention ( 23rdNLLC)
6 delegates (Deepugh Jude Saba Ramesh, Lee Vern Sean, Jageshwaran, Wong Chan Wai, Yuliesa Jane & Ashaa) represented
SPI in this convention that was held at the LaSalle Centre, Ipoh from 3rd to 8th December 2013. Prior to that, the delegates went
for an exposure programme at the Neighbours Grace Assembly. They also collected used exercise books that were distributed
to the poor children in Sabah & Sarawak. The theme for this NLLC was “Lasallians In Action”.
3. Founder’s Day
The Lasallian Founder’s Day was celebrated in remembrance of our founder, St.John Baptist de La Salle. A short sketch about
the history and background of St. John Baptistwas presented. Another sketch related to Lasallian values was also performed.
Besides that, a quiz and a sing-along were also held during the event and Lasallian songs were played throughout the week
during assembly.Founder’s Day Sales were also carried outto raise funds in conjunction with Teacher’s Day and Founder’s Day
and cupcakes and bookmarks were sold. The teacher advisors and the team worked hard to make this annual event a
memorable one.
4. Orientation for the Form One and Lower Six Students
This orientation was conducted by Madam Wee Seok Cheng. It was to enlighten the new comers on the background and history
of SPI and our founder as well as to promote the Paulian LaSalle Confreres. A talk about the experience of being a Lasallian
was shared by DeepughJude Saba Ramesh&Yuliesa Jane during the Lower Six orientation programme.Seven Lower 6 students
had signed up as new members in the club.
5. 24th National Lasallians Leaders’ Convention (24th NLLC)
7 delegates (Ivan Wang, Benjamin Chin, Shanker, Aaron Lim, ChoongKahWai, ChinHui Shan &Vigaashini) attended this
convention that was held at the LaSalle Centre, Ipoh from 11th to 14th June 2014. The theme for this NLLC was “Be the
change : Step by Step”
6. Visitation to KampungBelihoi ‘Orang Asli’ settlement, Mantin.
This program was held to expose the members to the social realities in the community around them. It was also to encourage
members to be involved in charity work as well as to be more aware of the social realities. The activities carried out were hiking,
colouring competition and sing-along. The members had a great time with the villagers as they had fellowship and shared meals.
7. Paulian-Lasallian Day
This event was carried out by the members to have fellowship among the students and also to give back to the school through
community service. About 60 students from various clubs including PLC attended the event. Many games and activities were
held for the students. Later on, a community service was held where desks from 12 classrooms were cleaned.

8. Lasallian Day Of Prayer for Peace (LDOPP)
LDOPP is a night of reflection to spread awareness during the month of October. This program was held for a week in school.
Prior to that, an interfaith prayer was held at night in SPI.Students from other clubs and societies came to give us their support as
well. We wish to thank the committee members for their services throughout the week.
