Annual Report
The English Language Society (ELS) achieved commendable accomplishments in the term 2010/2011.Various activities were carried out during meetings held on alternate Wednesdays of the month. The committee members were dedicated and made it a point to discuss upcoming projects and planned for future meetings when they were first installed. Follow ups to the projects were also carried out. Activities for members were fun, educational, and enriching. Members participated in various activities such as puzzles, charades, spelling, and riddles. We also welcomed the new members with open arms.
The club’s achievements were amazing this term. In 2011, Azriel Paul was placed 4th in the National Public Speaking competition. The debate team also emerged runners-up at the district level. The drama team comprising of 36 students entertained a large crowd with a play called “The Powdered Truth”. The audience was enthralled by their performance during the SPI Concert which was on Friday (8th July 2011) & Saturday (9th July 2011).This was a charity show to collect funds to build a new block and extend the staff room. The ELS members are waiting to share their joyful activities, projects and ideas with the new members and incoming committee. May ELS be blessed with great learning and moments of happiness.
