The Chess Club has achieved great victory in many tournaments which were organized by various clubs and non -governmental organizations. These were at state, national and international levels .
The achievements for the year 2012 are as below:

2. District Level Chess Tournament (MSSD)8 SPI Chess Club members took part and 6 were chosen to represent district to state. Overall champions for under 15 and under 18 category. Individual Category obtained placing top 4 (U18) and Top 2 ( U15)SMK Tunku Ampuan Durah , Seremban
3. State Level Chess Tournament ( MSSN)5 students from SPI represented district to state and they emerged as 1st runner up for both the categories (U15) AND (U18)SMKA Sheikh Ahmad
4. National Level (MSSM )2 students represented state Trengganu
5. Kejohanan Catur Seremban Parade60 students from Chess club took part and obtained top ten places.Parkson Parade Seremban

The Chess Club currently consists of 70 members. The greatest achievement for the year is almost 95percent of the members obtained state level certificates which will enable them to score at least B for their co-curriculum assessment.
