11/1/2017:Annual General Meeting
All the committee members discussed the annual activities and the programmes that were planned for the whole year.
The selection of the committee was carried out by all members.
25/1/2017:Buddhism Movie Presentation
Create a better understanding on the concept of Buddhism.
8/2/2017:Chinese New Year Celebration
Most of the committee members performed a Chinese New Year action song in the school hall.
15/2/2017-Dharma Class
Puan Liaw gave a talk on the knowledge of Buddhism to promote a better understanding.
3/3 -5/3/2017“: Kem Meditasi Agama Buddha”
All the Form 6 members of the Buddhist Society participated in this dharma camp which was held at Champanet Youth Centre Port Dickson.The objective of this camp was to help members meditate peacefully without interference of the outside world.
15/3/2017:Buddhist Quiz Competition
All Buddhist Society members took part in the competition. This quiz was to test the members’ knowledge on the concept of Buddhism.
19/4/2017:Wesak Day Celebration
All members were involved in prayers and the Buddha bathing ceremony.
27/5-29/5/2017:Young Buddhist Fellowship Training Camp
Three of our committee members were chosen to take part in this camp. This was a motivation camp that helped them to build their leadership skills and boost their self-esteem and confidence levels.
12/7/2017:Talk on Buddhism
Dr Wai Yong Zhen from theSuddhamma Buddhist Society was invited to give a motivation talk to the Buddhist Club members.
11/8/2017:“Special Intent” Prayer
This activity was held for the members who were going to sit for the examination.It is mainly for prayers and to seek blessings.
12/8/2017:A Visit to “Pusat Jagaan Orang Kurang Upaya Si Putih”
We visited the care centre and donated some food and stationaries. The money to buy these donated items was collected from the school charity event.
26/8-29/8/2017“Fei Yue” Young Buddhist Fellowship Camp
This camp was held in Seremban. Its purpose is to motivate and train the members to become a better people in the society based on the knowledge of Buddhism.
