The chess club achieved great victory in many tournaments which were organized by various clubs. They were at district and state levels.
The achievements for the year 2018 are as follows:

1. School-level Chess Tournament Out of 60 participants, 4 students from each category were chosen to represent the school at district level. 22-24 May 2018/ SMK St. Paul.
2. Seremban 1 District-level Chess Tournament (MSSD) 8 students were chosen to represent the district at the state-level competition. The U15 boys team: 1. Jayden Lee Rong Shyn 2. Thivyan s/o Kanapaty 3. Ihlan Promeo Amierr Rishmaann Singh Deol Punjabi 4. Mahish s/o Nagarajan The U18 boys team: 1. Santhosh s/o Sargunam 2. Krisyvil s/o Krishnan 3. Taneshwer s/o Sanggar 4. Dhurrjaraj s/o Koran 2 and 3 July 2018/ SMK Bukit Kepayang Individual Category result: Second place Third place Fifth place Participation The U18 boys team emerged as 2nd Runner-up.
3. State-level Chess Tournament (MSSNS) 1 student from the under 15 team and 2 students from the under 18 team of SPI represented the Seremban 1 District at State Level. They are: 1. Thivyan s/o Kanapaty (U15) 2. Krisyvil s/o Krishnan (U18) 3. Santhosh s/o Sargunam (U18) 11-13 July 2017 SBPI Jempol Individual Category Result: Second place Third place Participation
4. National-level Chess Tournament (MSSM) 1 student from the under 15 team and 1 student from the under 18 team of SPI represented the State of Negeri Sembilan at National Level. They are: 1. Thivyan s/o Kanapaty (U15) 2. Krisyvil s/o Krishnan (U18)
